Responsibilities: We provide support, administration, and maintenance for Linux server environments.We manage and support both SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).We deliver operational support across live, development, and test environments.We perform incident resolution, problem management, and root cause analysis.We implement, test, and deploy infrastructure changes in accordance with change management processes.We support infrastructure migration and transformation programmes.We develop, maintain, and enhance UNIX/Linux shell scripts to automate operational tasks.We work closely with project teams to deliver infrastructure improvements and technical solutions.We monitor system performance, availability, and security across the Linux estate.We produce and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and support guides.We participate in out-of-hours maintenance and project activities when required. We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Engineer to join our specialist team, delivering both Managed Service and Project-based activities. This is a senior technical role supporting a complex Linux estate across live production, development, and test environments. The role is based in Telford for a duration of 6-9 months with possible extension, and the rate is up to £500 per day via an approved umbrella company. You must be willing and eligible to go through the SC Clearance process.
