Requirements: Proven experience performing RTE-like responsibilities in a large-scale agile environmentStrong working knowledge of Jira, including workflow management and reportingUnderstanding of Git / Bitbucket workflows and pull request governanceUnderstanding of Git / Bitbucket branching strategiesExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-team deliveryExceptional attention to detailStrong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable engaging with engineers, PMs, and customersPositive, delivery-focused mindset with a bias toward flow and production deliveryExperience operating within SAFe Agile Release TrainsExperience in regulated or controlled delivery environmentsFamiliarity with release governance, change control, and multi-environment deliveryFamiliarity with cloud technologies and IaCFamiliarity with software development (Java)Familiarity with databasesFamiliarity with Unix/Linux operational skills Responsibilities: Act as the Release Train Engineer for the Agile Release Train, facilitating execution and continuous improvementServe as PI Master of Ceremonies, owning the preparation, facilitation, and follow-up of PI Planning eventsWork closely with Product Managers to ensure Features, Enablers, and supporting scope are correctly captured and maintained in JiraCoordinate with PMs to align priorities and respond to customer needs and dependenciesEngage with customer stakeholders on PI priorities, scope, and sequencingOwn and maintain the PI agenda, authoring and coordinating slide content to guide PI sessionsSchedule and facilitate PI events, primarily virtual, ensuring effective participation and outcomesProduce PI-level reports, including outcomes from Multi RFC PI Planning, ensuring visibility of commitments and risksAnalyse PI trends such as scope creep and velocity, working with PMs and teams to understand causes and drive corrective actionsLead Inspect & Adapt sessions, postmortems, and retrospectivesAuthor and coordinate retrospective slide packs, working with teams to capture learningSchedule, record, and track lessons learned and improvement actions across PIsOwn and manage release scope, defining and enforcing how scope is added to, removed from, or adjusted within a releaseVerify all stakeholders are aligned before scope is committed to a releaseWork with Engineering to clarify which release branch is the origin for each changeReconcile PI commitments against release plans, ensuring alignment between planning and executionCommunicate and manage scope changes transparently across the ARTMaintain a strong delivery mindset with a clear objective to push work into production as quickly and safely as possibleAuthor customer-facing scope and release documentation as requiredOwn the Release & Activities Environment Schedule across all environmentsCoordinate sequencing of releases and activities to minimise contention and delivery riskEnsure environment usage supports PI and release commitmentsWork with PMs to secure time on the environments in support of newly contracted work in far-future datesAct as Configuration Manager, maintaining strict control over what is deployed into each environmentEnsure environments are protected from uncontrolled or unauthorised changeBring changes through appropriate governance forumsWork closely with Engineering teams and the TIP Manager to coordinate deployments and cutoversOwn and manage internal build numbering and versioning standardsAssign internal build numbers in line with agreed conventionsAct as gatekeeper for all pull requests into release branches, ensuring peer reviews, static code analysis, scope approval, standards compliance, and conflict resolution are completeMerge release branches back into the main branch, working with Engineers for conflict resolutionVerify Jira items are in the correct workflow states prior to mergeConduct builds into environments and verify that the correct build is deployedAuthor internal build notes and customer-facing release notesEnsure Jira hygiene prior to release cut, including correct links, states, merged code, and readiness gapsWork with teams to resolve items still in peer review or non-release-ready statesEnsure Jira workflows are applied consistently across the ART Technologies: BitBucketCloudFlowGitSupportJIRAJavaLinuxUnixAIDevOpsMachine LearningSecurity More:
