Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Band 5 Dietitian to join our rotational team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your clinical skills while also contributing to service development and student training.
The post includes four six-month rotations across St Mary's Hospital and Charing Cross Hospital, supporting acute inpatient services.
These include admission wards, endocrine, orthopaedics, vascular, rehabilitation, and elderly care. All rotations involve enteral tube feeding and require close multidisciplinary collaboration, offering a well-rounded clinical experience.

We are actively involved in dietetic student placements and strongly support continuing professional development (CPD) for all staff. Main duties of the job
To plan and deliver a patient centred dietetic service to patients in hospital and in the community. To be professionally and legally accountable and responsible for all aspects of your own work, including the management of patients in your care. To assess, diagnose and treat patients, individually or in groups when indicated in line with the BDA Nutrition and Dietetic Care Process. To develop individualised dietetic diagnoses and goal and task orientated nutrition care plans in collaboration with patients, carers and colleagues. Ensure patient reviews demonstrate clinical reasoning, problem solving and risk assessment techniques, to determine agreed discharge planning and outcomes across health and social care. To undertake risk assessments to determine appropriate management, specifically relating to the nutrition management of a patient. To be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records in line with the legal requirements, Trust Guidelines and professional standards of practice. To use evidence based practice, audits and published research to inform their own practice including national and local clinical guidelines. To provide cover as requested for other colleagues in periods of planned or unplanned leave.
