Local Health Partners (LHP) is a new health and wellbeing business backed by Patient Care Locally CIC, and we are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded healthcare leader to become our Head of Local Health Partners.

This is a rare opportunity to shape a business from the ground up. You will lead the development of LHPs strategy, services, partnerships, commercial growth and operations, with the freedom to identify opportunities, build relationships and turn ideas into reality.

LHPs ambition is to become the East Midlands trusted provider of accessible, high-quality self-pay health and wellbeing services. From diagnostics and health assessments to wellbeing, rehabilitation, occupational health and digital solutions, you will help determine what we offer and how we grow.

You will have the backing of an established healthcare organisation, while working in the entrepreneurial environment of a start-up. Youll bring together commercial thinking, strong governance and a commitment to quality healthcare, building a sustainable organisation that not only grows but also supports PCLs wider community purpose.

Main duties of the job

Building the business: turn the strategy into practical plans, establish new services and create the foundations for long-term growth.Driving commercial growth: develop new opportunities, build the sales pipeline and create strong relationships with customers, partners, insurers, employers and other stakeholders.Building the LHP profile: establish a strong and trusted brand across the East Midlands and lead activity that generates awareness and demand.Making things happen: work across clinical, operational and commercial teams and providers to ensure services are established and delivered effectively.Protecting quality and reputation: make sure growth is supported by strong clinical governance, regulatory compliance, risk management and high standards of customer care.Using technology and data: introduce the systems, reporting and digital solutions needed to support an efficient, modern healthcare business.Leading people and performance: build and develop a high-performing team and create a culture focused on accountability, collaboration and results.Managing the numbers: take ownership of budgets, forecasts, financial performance and the commercial sustainability of LHP.Representing LHP: develop relationships with senior stakeholders and act as a credible ambassador for the organisation across the region.

The role will be based on a hybrid working arrangement, with regular travel expected to meet stakeholders, partners and providers across the East Midlands.

Stage 1 Interview: Wednesday 14 October 2026In person at PCL Head Office in Coalville. This will be an informal discussion with members of PCL's senior leadership team and LHP Directors.

Stage 2 Interview: Friday 16 October 2026In person at PCL Head Office in Coalville. This will include a formal interview and presentation.

Person Specification

Experience Essential

Senior management experience within a private healthcare or health-related environment Proven track record in sales, business development, and marketing Experience in clinical governance and regulatory compliance Experience in scaling or growing a healthcare business Contract management and stakeholder engagement experience Experience implementing digital systems and transformation initiatives Strong experience in performance reporting and data analysis

Desirable

Experience working with private insurers and/or commissioning bodies Experience in influencing multiple provider

Qualifications Essential

Degree in healthcare management, business, or related field; or evidenced experience of working to this level Evidence of continuous professional development

Postgraduate qualification (MBA, MSc Healthcare Management, etc.) Leadership or management qualification
