Main duties of the job We are looking for a NCMP Practitioner (National Child Measurement Program) to join our fantastic team within HCRG Care Group. This is an exciting role to work with our local schools. You will be going into classes to measure BMI and promote a healthy lifestyle. You will work independently and manage your own caseload. This is a great opportunity to make a real change to a childs life. We care about work life balance, therefore this role has the opportunity to be taken on as a term time only, to which the salary would be pro rata. You will be based primarily in Mid Essex. Build and maintain good relationships with allocated schools to ensure successful completion of NCMP. This includes requesting class lists, booking school visits, sending parent/carer information, chasing up absent children, identifying child/parent NCMP opt outs and any children with additional needs. Accurately weigh and measure the height of consenting children in Reception and Year 6 as part of NCMP and to check that they are growing healthily and identify any growth problems. Undertake Vision screening of children in Reception as part of the School Entry Health

Liase with NCMP locality lead in managing own case load. Ensuring the full completion of NCMP screening and achieving set KPIs. Providing updated tally reports to ensure trajectories are kept up to date. Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience of working with children. You must be able to have the confidence to liaise difficult conversations with children and parents regarding the health and wellbeing of a child. Every day you will be meeting new children, so it essential you are able to bring empathy and compassion to the role. Relevant Health and social care or equivalent qualification, this can include the Care Certificate
Experience working with children, young people and families
Able to manage own timeand work as part of a team
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal including telephone
Excellent listening skills, offering empathy and understanding and manage difficult conversations

Qualifications Essential
