Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, results orientated Senior Actuary to join our growing Global Life Financial Solutions team for Europe, Middle-East and Latin America regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of models assessing the underlying risk (including high level experience analysis) and development of the appropriate structure (with broader team) to meet clients needs. The position will be based in Zurich, Paris, London or Dublin. The role provides the opportunity for exposure to a wide variety of products and innovative reinsurance solutions in diverse markets and you will be expected to make a significant contribution to the development of our Global Life Financial Solutions team, and the wider enhancement of PartnerRe’s Life & Health propositions. Key Responsibilities: Your mission is to develop and price financial solutions transactions and grow PartnerRe’s revenue in the EMELA region. In more detail your responsibilities will include: Develop, structure and market appropriate reinsurance solutions encompassing accounting, regulatory and economic risk-transfer aspects Technical development of pricing tools to analyse risk and profitability of life reinsurance solutions Contribute to the deal execution involving responding to RFPs, negotiating terms with clients and brokers, and prepare internal approval memos Support the business development efforts prospecting/client visits promoting our solutions and tailoring to specific client objectives Prepare and make internal and external presentations on life reinsurance topics as required Qualifications: Technical Skills: You are a technically excellent individual with an ability to demonstrate commercial sense Strong actuarial background in pricing life and health insurance / reinsurance and familiar with accounting standards (e.g., USGAAP, IFRS17) Good knowledge of Solvency 2 is essential, including awareness of some of the issues faced by insurers Behavioral Competencies: Creativity, curiosity, and pragmatism are desirable attitudes You enjoy collaborating with your colleagues as well as working on your own Your preference is to be part of an international and multicultural environment, handling diverse tasks, yet always ready to support the team effort and meet the business needs Comfortable in a client facing capacity as well as working in a dynamic and fast paced environment Great communication, strong analytical and problem-solving skills Fluent English speaker.
