Posting ID: 29866 Position Type: Regular City: Bucks, AL, United States Location: Axis Plant - New South Lumber Company Axis Sawmill POSITION: Utility SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION Operates machinery and equipment that wraps and tag lumber that will be prepared for shipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities of the Bag and Tag include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Pulling lumber packs that are getting ready for shipment Covering the outside of the packs with the wrapping to protect against the elements. Using a stapler to secure tags and wrapping Stapling the end tags to the lumber pieces displaying the appropriate specifications. Physical Demands: Standing and walking Using hands to touch, handle, or feel Reaching with hands and arms Climbing stairs Stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling (On an as needed basis) Lifting and/or moving from 5 to 30 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and lifting and/or moving from 5 to 50 lbs., as needed Work Environment: Moving mechanical parts Outside weather conditions Vibration High noise levels Works two weeks on nights and two weeks on days At Canfor, diversity means understanding, recognizing, and valuing the differences that make each person unique.
