Position Summary: The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering within the College of Engineering is seeking to hire up to three FWS students for Fall 2026.
The student(s) will be expected to perform the following duties:
• Walking daily errands • Office/workspace organizational tasks and duties • Answering and transferring multi-line office phone line • Greeting and directing students/guests • Assist department faculty and staff with requested assignments • Maintaining electronic files • File paperwork • Sort mail and place into department mailboxes daily • Operate office equipment and machines (copy machine, fax machine, etc.) Average Number of Hours per Week: 10-20 hours per week Schedule: Flexibility to work anytime between 8 - 5, Monday - Friday
Minimum Qualifications: Applicant must have a current Federal Work Study (FWS) award for the current academic year in order to apply for this position. Availability to work flexible hours Monday - Friday. Have experience with Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). High attention to detail and a sense of urgency when completing tasks.
