As a member of the Security Supervisor, you will play an important role in protecting our team members, guests, assets, business, and brand. As the Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Planning Activities (5%)
• Schedule annual holidays – where possible in alignment with business trading cycle, prepare duty rotas for your team • Review schedules with the Safety & Security Manager or representative to ensure business needs are met proportionately. Organizing Activities (15%)
• Organize, deploy and supervise all allocated resources in such a way as to secure optimal performance and achievement of operational targets.
• To supervise and motivate all assigned staff and to be responsible • for ensuring that training and personal development are given the appropriate priority and resources • To supervise, lead and train Safety & Security Officers to complete • the daily operations within the Hotel to ensure the safety and security of guests and Team Members. • Liaise with all operational departments & leaders daily to ascertain • what is happening in hotel and locally • Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures and collection of evidence where necessary. • Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with internal policies and legal requirements. Directing Activities (45%)
• Represent the Assitant Safety & Security Manager as required within their sphere of responsibility
• Supervise the security operation connected with the evacuation of the buildings or similar events • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry. • Ensure a safe, secure environment is provided for team members, guests, visitors and contractors always. • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers • Ensure that all prescribed and designed process, systems and standards are maintained. • Take responsibility for all incidents within the hotel and manage them in compliance with internal policy and legislation • Carry out regular checks on Fire, safety, security and other emergency procedures and to report the result of such checks to the Security Manager • Respond to and attend as necessary any incident involving security or safety of premises, guests or colleagues and to initiate appropriate actions and investigations. • Ensure that, in the event of a major incident the emergency services are informed immediately where necessary, that relevant management representatives are contacted immediately, and other appropriate action is taken in line with assignment instructions. • Provide advice and guidance on security matters and to carry out all necessary administrative tasks’ ancillary to the above • Carry out all other relevant duties as directed by the Security Manager • Undertake the above duties in such a way as to protect and enhance the reputation and public profile of Hilton. Controlling Activities (15%)
• Take a balanced approach to dealing with both team members and guests
• Ensure a presence is maintained in all public areas of the hotel • Ensure that CCTV is monitored, and any faults promptly reported to the Security Manager. • Ensure all Security Team Members are fully conversant with evacuation and emergency procedures including Active Attack • and lockdown procedures.
Team Activities (10%)
• Ensure your behavior respects the perspective, privacy, safety and security of our guests and your colleagues. • Ensure your interactions and behavior is ethical, non-bias and proportionate and upholds the mission and values of Hilton Hotels. • Ability to write and communicate effectively with other Team Members. • Always deliver your ‘fair share’ in team task elements of the role and support colleagues whose workload may temporarily exceed your own. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Staff Activities (10%)
• Provide Security Officers with the clear purpose they require and support with relevant learning experiences and constant feedback on individual and team performance. • Observe and coach team to ensure that they are constantly improving their skills. • Ensure that you provide the Safety & Security Manager with feedback on the team to support the development of an effective resource and succession plan for the department. • Ensure that you have a personal development plan and illicit feedback from those you supervise on a regular basis. • Assist with the training of all Security Officers. • Oversee the day to day function of externally sourced Security Officers and ensure they understand responsibilities whilst on shift.

• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory position.
• Able to communicate effectively and clearly.
• Good knowledge of the hotel’s life-safety systems, fire equipment and security operations.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to details.
• Literacy in English to meet business needs, preferred.
