FIXED ASSET & LEASE ACCOUNTING CLERK - CORPORATE OFFICE (AUSTIN, MN)

This position reports to the Senior Financial Accountant.

The Fixed Asset & Lease Accounting Clerk provides operational and accounting support for the Company’s fixed asset and lease portfolios. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate asset and lease records, processing transactions throughout the asset lifecycle, supporting balance sheet reconciliations and SOX controls, and ensuring complete and audit-ready documentation. The position partners closely with plant personnel, project managers, accounting teams, and external stakeholders to support compliance with Company policies and accounting requirements. Responsibilities: • Maintain fixed asset and lease master data, ensuring additions, transfers, modifications, retirements, and other changes are recorded accurately and timely within Company systems. • Process payments for accounts payable and leases, including reviewing supporting documentation, coordinating approvals, monitoring payment status, and resolving routine discrepancies. • Coordinate fixed asset inventory activities, including distributing and tracking asset tags, maintaining inventory records, and investigating discrepancies identified during physical inventory processes. • Process fixed asset retirements, sales, disposals, and lease changes, ensuring transactions are supported by appropriate documentation and recorded with the proper accounting treatment. • Prepare assigned balance sheet account reconciliations, resolve reconciling items, and maintain supporting documentation in accordance with Company policies, internal controls, and SOX requirements. • Organize and maintain fixed asset and lease documentation, respond to audit requests, monitor shared workflows and correspondence, and partner with internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of requests and issues. • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities and identify opportunities to improve processes, documentation practices, and data quality within the fixed asset and lease accounting functions.

QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation. • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve routine discrepancies. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information appropriately. • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States. • Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Associate degree (AAS) or coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. • One or more years of experience in accounting, finance, accounts payable, fixed assets, lease administration, or a related business function. • Experience processing invoices, payments, or other financial transactions. • Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems. • Experience preparing account reconciliations or supporting audit and compliance activities. The base hiring pay range for this role is $18.75- $26.25, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
