About this role

To work as CAD Technician responsible for delivering high-quality drawings of Tunnel Structures, including general arrangement, sections and tunnel support drawings. The role requires close coordination with the Package Leads, Design Engineers and CAD Manager to support the delivery of tunnel projects from WSP's Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Manila.

Main Activities and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

• Prepare tunnel structural drawings developed from basic date supplied. • Responsible for the accuracy of all tunnel drafting tasks. • Ensure all drawings are checked before they are presented to the client. • Develop, review and verify engineering drawings. • Responsible for the development of drawings from design sketches and working sheets to the final outputs taking into consideration the clarity, completeness and accuracy of the plan. • Promote a culture of technical excellence within the team. • Responsible for maintaining back-up of drawing files – hard and soft copies for record and future references. • Adheres to prescribed drafting standard and procedures. • Conscientiously works towards the group’s objectives and adheres to the company’s policy • Carry out cross discipline reviews, constructability checks and clash detection reviews. • Perform tasks assigned by the package lead, discipline & team leads, Regional Team Executive, Australian Design Engineers and CAD Manager in line with his/her experience, discipline or qualifications. • Promote the continual improvement of best practice OHS&E and Quality systems and behaviours. • Participation in company development initiative, such as the Technical Associate Program and/or PANs. • Coach others in the identification and management of ethical issues associated with area of work or practice area. • Seek information to understand client needs and effectively anticipate and meet client needs and encourage client focus on colleagues including coordination with other disciplines. • Clearly and confidently communicates with counterparts in other offices. • Assist and support any Transport Digital Engineering Pillars. • Ability to automate drafting processes. • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining momentum, and managing to project due dates. • Keeps abreast of new developments and methods relevant to area of expertise.

• Graduate of any technical course or at least three (3) years in BS Engineering or BS Architecture course. • At least five (5) years of relevant tunnel structural drafting experience. • Preferably with knowledge of relevant industry related Australian Standards, local Road Authority Standards and other road and civil design standards with the ability to interpret, apply and challenge as appropriate. • High level drafting and detailing skills. • High level use and understanding of CAD software and how it applies (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, ACC, ProjectWise, Bluebeam, Inventor). • High level of understanding of tunnel construction methodology. • Proficiency in Civil 3D, Revit & Dynamo is an advantage. • Exposure to different business models and industry best practice. • Strong experience in building client relationships and business development. • Attention to detail. • Manages self under pressure. • Balances innovation, quality and technical excellence with delivery to timelines and cost. • Open to receiving and providing constructive feedback.
