Your New Role
As a Specialist Engineer – Pipe System Design, you will play a key technical role supporting the engineering organization across Petrobras and international projects. This position goes beyond standard project execution activities and focuses on technical guidance, methodology alignment, engineering consistency, and continuous improvement of Pipe System Design practices.
You will work closely with engineering teams, Disciplinary Leads, manufacturing, project management, and interface departments to support technically sound and efficient project execution.
Your responsibilities may include:
• Providing technical support and guidance to Pipe System Design engineering teams.
• Supporting methodology alignment and consistency of engineering practices across projects.
• Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of design guides, templates, tools, and engineering methodologies.
• Supporting technical interfaces with internal stakeholders and project engineering teams.
• Reviewing and supporting engineering analyses and technical documentation for flexible pipe systems.
• Supporting resolution of technical challenges related to flexible pipe design, manufacturing, testing, and installation.
• Participating in technical reviews, design reviews, and engineering discussions.
• Supporting manufacturing activities through technical clarifications, deviation assessments, and non-conformance handling.
• Promoting engineering quality, consistency, and compliance with applicable standards and internal procedures.
• Supporting knowledge sharing, technical development, and best practices within the engineering organization.
You will be part of a global and diverse engineering organization, working on several major offshore projects simultaneously in a collaborative and international environment.
About You

To succeed in this role, you typically have:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong experience in offshore engineering, flexible pipe systems, or subsea engineering.
• Experience supporting FEED studies, early engagement activities, and project execution for major customers, working across multidisciplinary teams.
• Solid understanding of flexible pipe design methodologies, structural mechanics, hydrodynamics, fatigue, and numerical analysis.
• Good understanding of flexible pipe manufacturing processes and associated technical interfaces.
• Experience supporting manufacturing-related activities, including technical clarifications, deviation handling, carcass approval processes, and non-conformance assessments.
• Familiarity with permeation calculations, and flexible pipe integrity assessments
• Experience contributing to design guides, engineering methodologies, standardization initiatives, or continuous improvement activities
• Ability to support technical alignment and interface management across engineering, manufacturing, and project teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and support multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work in a collaborative and international environment.
• Availability for occasional travel.

Occasional travel may be required to support project activities or visit NOV sites and customers. You will also have opportunities to visit our Açu manufacturing facility, where you can see flexible pipe systems being produced and prepared for offshore installation.
