Orders laboratory examinations and X-rays, determines diagnosis, prescribes nursing and dietary care necessary, orders or applies such preventive measures as required. • Provides in-patient care to the newborn and attends difficult delivery or cesarean section deliveries. • Serves as a consultant in neonatology providing consultative services to the other Medical Services. Provides technical assistance with pediatric patients. Determines the eligibility of neonatology admissions. • Reviews journals, texts or periodicals in order to keep current on latest techniques and procedures of neonatal intensive care.

• Qualified and licensed Medical Practitioner • At least 3-5 years’ post qualification experience at consultant level (independent of country) • At least 1 year Consultant level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator. • Basic medical degree and completion of higher education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognised by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
