This is a hands-on industrial maintenance role responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and modifying manufacturing equipment. The technician works with electrical, electronic, mechanical, PLC, and automation systems to keep production running safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, and production equipment. • Connect to and troubleshoot PLCs using a laptop. • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and back up PLC hardware/software. • Troubleshoot PLC communication systems, processors, circuit boards, and electrical drives. • Install and maintain servo motors and controls. • Perform preventive maintenance (TPM), equipment inspections, repairs, adjustments, and rebuilds. • Read and work from blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, manuals, and sketches. • Complete electrical projects, equipment modifications, and repairs. • Assist Engineering with equipment improvements and projects. • Support production, train coworkers, and provide guidance on maintenance techniques. • Manage spare-parts recommendations and maintenance materials. • Use FIIX CMMS to manage work orders and maintenance documentation. • Participate in maintenance meetings and TPM audits.
Qualifications
• Technical/college education in electrical, mechanical, or related maintenance, or equivalent experience. • 4–6 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience. • Approximately 1–3 years of trade training/technical knowledge. • Strong understanding of electrical systems, controls, PLCs, drives, and mechanical equipment. • Ability to use electrical/electronic test equipment and precision measuring instruments.
Physical & Work Requirements
• Lift 10 lbs regularly and 35 lbs occasionally. • Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, climbing, and crouching. • Good hand/eye/foot coordination. • Work around moving machinery, fumes, noise, and temperature extremes. • Must maintain appropriate vision/hearing requirements. • Must follow all safety and PPE requirements.
Schedule
• Day shift, 5 days/week • Starts at 6:00 AM • Occasional Saturdays • End time depends on completion of production orders.
