Technician ‐ Research and Innovation (Based at Rathmalana)

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the development of virtual and physical prototypes, both internally and with partners, to support the creation of open innovation briefs. • Support the team in understanding technology requirements for new projects and growth platforms and contribute to identifying solutions for technological challenges. • Conduct research on adoptable technologies and support the identification of potential partners for collaborative projects. • Communicate with the team on proposed solutions and value propositions to support timely project delivery. • Assist in identifying suitable technology platforms using appropriate tools to support the development of technology proposals. Qualifications
• Following or completed an Engineering Degree or NDT in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronic, or Automation Engineering from a recognized university. • 1 year of relevant work experience will be an added advantage. • Basic knowledge of engineering concepts and technology applications. • Basic knowledge of prototype development and testing. • Ability to conduct technology-related research and identify potential solutions. • Ability to support the development of virtual and physical prototypes. • Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. • Willingness to learn new technologies and support innovative projects.
