We are seeking a Registered Nurse II - Operating Room to join our dedicated team on a full-time basis. This position is based in the beautiful Marina del Rey, CA. Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide and accurately detail direct and indirect patient care services to ensure the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients. • Educate patients on disease prevention and restorative measures. • Coordinate medications and therapeutic agents necessary for treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan of care. • Perform skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy, and initiate peripheral venous access. • Observe signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to medications/treatments, general behavior, and physical condition. • Apply refined assessment skills to determine normal versus abnormal characteristics. • Plan and implement individualized patient care based on observations and standardized procedures. • Provide care to special patient populations and those with diverse cultural backgrounds. • Identify and assess patient safety concerns and intervene to ensure a safe environment. Department-Focused Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain specialty-related and department-required proficiencies. • Stay informed on current perioperative equipment and techniques. • Apply AORN standards of practice, Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies to ensure quality care. • Document patient care accurately and completely in CS-Link, reflecting safe and appropriate care. Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts Call Requirement: 1 weekday/week and 1 weekend day/month.
Education:
• Associate's degree in Nursing (required). • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred). Licenses/Certifications:
• Current and valid CA RN license is required. Experience:
• One year of OR experience (required).
