About this role
The Childbirth Educator provides evidence-based education and support to expectant parents and their families, preparing them for labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and early parenting. This role combines teaching, counseling, and resource guidance to promote safe, positive, and informed childbirth experiences. Job Responsibilities:
• Plan and teach comprehensive childbirth education classes covering labor, delivery, postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care. • Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds. • Provide prenatal preparation for pain management options, including natural techniques and medical interventions. • Offer guidance on partner involvement, birth plans, and hospital procedures. • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required:
• Childbirth Educator (CCE) through a recognized organization such as Lamaze international, ICEA, or equivalent. • BLS within 6 months of hire • HS Diploma or equivalent Preferred:
• 1+ years of mother baby experience preferred
