Role Overview
The Third-Party Host Administrator is responsible for maintaining the Third-Party billing setup in the EPS software system which enables pharmacies to transmit compliant claims. They will assist the Managed Care Manager(s) in improving cost containment policies and compliance goals.
Main responsibilities:
• Configure, maintain, audit, and optimize complex third party plan records and adjudication parameters within the EPS software system while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, NCPDP, and organizational standards. • Provide Level III pharmacy systems support as the primary escalation point for complex third party billing, adjudication, and configuration issues that require advanced technical analysis and resolution. • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and validation efforts for major system enhancements, upgrades, and third party implementations. • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for third party plan configuration, reimbursement processes, and pharmacy systems functionality. • Analyze reimbursement trends, claim adjudication outcomes, and operational data to identify opportunities for revenue optimization, compliance improvement, and process efficiencies. • Develop, maintain, and automate reports, dashboards, and analytical tools that support Managed Care reimbursement strategies, operational performance monitoring, and executive decision-making. • Partner with Managed Care leadership, Pharmacy Operations, IT, Accounts Receivable, and PBMs to design and implement solutions that improve reimbursement performance and operational effectiveness. • Lead audits of third party plan records, identify root causes of adjudication issues, and drive corrective actions to improve data integrity and billing accuracy. • Evaluate, recommend, and support implementation of EPS system enhancements, process improvements, and automation opportunities. • Mentor DSII team members by providing technical guidance, training, and support on third party plan setup, troubleshooting, testing methodologies, and best practices. • Develop business requirements, process documentation, and testing strategies for new third party programs, payer initiatives, and system enhancements. • Act as the departmental lead for complex projects, cross-functional initiatives, and escalated operational issues impacting reimbursement, compliance, or pharmacy system performance.
Qualifications:
• Preferred pharmacy experience including managed care and third-party billing
• Preferred knowledge of EPS pharmacy systems software
• Preferred knowledge of Linux system operating systems
• Knowledge of Pharmacy Benefit Managers.
• Knowledge of NCPDP Standards and Federal & State legislation affecting pharmacy trends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access). • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Outstanding customer services skills • Problem solver
• Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.
• Self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision.
