About this role
Technology Leadership (OT & Digital)
• Own OT and digital architecture across PLC, SCADA, DCS, IoT, Edge, Historians, AR/ VR, Computer Vision, MES, Digital Twin, Industrial AI, data and analytics platforms. • Define and enforce technology standards, reference architectures, and lifecycle management practices. • Act as the technology solutions expert for digital and automation initiatives.
Digital Transformation & Use Case Enablement
• Translate business and operational requirements into robust digital solutions. • Enable Industry 4.0 use cases (MES, Digital Twin, AR/ VR, Computer Vision, Industrial AI) such as predictive maintenance, process optimization, quality and energy optimization. • Support pilots, POCs and roll-out in coordination with project and site teams.
OT Systems & Cybersecurity
• Ensure availability, reliability and performance of OT systems. • Define and implement OT cybersecurity controls aligned with ISA/IEC 62443. • Work very closely with the Cyber security Team and assist in patching and upgrades, backups and disaster recovery exercises for OT environments.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
• HSE leadership and visible commitment • Safety‑by‑design for OT & digital systems • Statutory and site compliance (PTW, commissioning, maintenance) – for project implementation, the candidate must provide clear guidance pertaining to safety requirements, to the Business Partner and their Team members. • Contribute to Incident investigation and corrective actions as and when required. • Use of digital technologies for safety and environmental monitoring
Project & Delivery Collaboration
• Partner with Integral Project Managers to provide design, estimation and risk inputs. • Review vendor proposals, solution design and ensure adherence to technology and security standards. • Prepare technical updates and presentations, as necessary and directed by the Executive Leadership Team.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
• Act as primary technical interface between various stakeholders (mine/plant operations teams, Digital team, Group IT and technology partners). • Evaluate and recommend technology platforms, OEMs and system integrators. • Champion Change Management, so that applications that are rolled out are implemented in a flawless manner.
• 15–20 years of experience in digital technology, process control and optimization roles.
• Strong experience in Metals, Mining, Process Manufacturing industries.
• Good knowledge in PLC, SCADA, DCS, OT–IT integration, IoT and industrial data platforms.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms, data analytics and visualization.
• Experience supporting large-scale digital or automation projects
Education & Certifications • Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in engineering
• Certifications in OT, cybersecurity (ISA/IEC 62443), digital or cloud platforms are desirable
