Job DescriptionThe Buyer plays a key role in supporting purchasing and supply chain activities by quoting, planning, ordering, and tracking the delivery of components across assigned categories. This role ensures that inventory levels align with departmental goals, identifies actions to optimize stock and purchasing schedules, and collaborates closely with team members to determine the most effective plan of action. • Quote, plan, and place orders for components across assigned categories to ensure timely availability of materials. • Track delivery status of all ordered components and follow up with suppliers to resolve delays or discrepancies. • Monitor overall inventory levels against departmental goals and recommend actions to optimize stock, reduce shortages, and minimize excess inventory. • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to determine the correct plan of action for purchasing and inventory-related issues. • Support purchasing schedules by coordinating order timing and quantities in line with production and service needs. • Perform administrative support tasks related to purchasing, including data entry, documentation, and record keeping. • Enter and process invoices accurately in the ERP system to support timely payments and financial reconciliation. • Handle funds transfers related to purchasing activities in a timely and accurate manner. • Assist with supplier management by maintaining communication, supporting issue resolution, and helping ensure reliable supply. • Use ERP and supply chain management tools to maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records and generate necessary reports. Essential Skills
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably D365 ERP or similar platforms. • Practical knowledge of purchasing processes, including quoting, ordering, and tracking deliveries. • Experience performing administrative support tasks in a purchasing or supply chain environment. • Ability to enter and process invoices accurately and efficiently. • Capability to execute funds transfers and related financial transactions with attention to detail. • Understanding of basic supply chain management principles and inventory control. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple purchasing activities and deadlines. • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional team members and suppliers. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $39.00/hr.
