Job Title: Project Manager – Quality Engineering InitiativesJob DescriptionThis contract Project Manager role supports strategic Quality Engineering initiatives by driving project schedules, coordinating activities across geographically distributed teams, and ensuring engineering deliverables remain on track within a regulated environment. The position blends strong project management capabilities with a technical engineering background and involves close collaboration with Quality, Manufacturing, R&D, and Product Development teams. This is a 12‑month contract with the potential for long-duration visibility through September 2027, offering remote flexibility with a preference for candidates located near Louisville, Colorado. Responsibilities • Develop, maintain, and own detailed project schedules and milestone plans for quality engineering initiatives. • Drive project timelines and ensure on-time execution of tasks, deliverables, and key milestones. • Coordinate activities and priorities across multiple engineering, quality, manufacturing, and product development stakeholders. • Track and manage project deliverables, risks, dependencies, and action items, ensuring clear accountability. • Facilitate regular project reviews, status meetings, and progress updates for cross-functional and leadership stakeholders. • Partner with Quality Engineering teams to ensure project activities and documentation align with quality and regulatory requirements. • Support continuous improvement efforts and quality-focused initiatives across engineering programs. • Lead and support geographically dispersed teams, promoting effective communication and alignment across time zones and locations. • Translate technical engineering requirements and development milestones into actionable project plans and measurable outcomes. • Drive accountability and execution across cross-functional teams without direct budget management responsibilities. • Support programs operating within highly regulated industries by adhering to relevant standards and processes. • Utilize project management tools and platforms to monitor progress, report status, and maintain project transparency. Essential Skills • Minimum of 3+ years of project management experience. • Proven experience managing project timelines, schedules, deliverables, and task execution. • Technical engineering background gained through Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, R&D Engineering, or Product Development Engineering. • Experience working in a regulated environment such as medical device, aerospace, pharmaceutical, biotech, defense, or similar industries. • Ability to support and coordinate geographically dispersed teams. • Strong stakeholder communication skills, including the ability to interface with quality, manufacturing, engineering, and leadership. • Demonstrated ability to translate technical requirements and engineering activities into structured project plans. • Experience driving project schedules, milestone tracking, risk identification, and action-item management for engineering or quality initiatives. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in the medical device industry. • Experience supporting Quality Engineering functions and quality-focused initiatives. • PMP or equivalent project management certification. • Experience with New Product Development (NPD) projects. • Prior experience supporting FDA-regulated organizations. • Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar platforms. • Exposure to enterprise-level quality and engineering initiatives and larger-scale program environments. • Interest in or experience with transitioning from engineering roles into broader program leadership responsibilities. Work EnvironmentThe role operates primarily in an office or remote work environment, offering remote flexibility with a preference for candidates who can collaborate from the Louisville, Colorado area. Team members work closely with geographically distributed colleagues and engage in extensive virtual collaboration across Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Product Development functions. The position involves regular cross-functional interaction, structured project meetings, and the use of modern project management and collaboration tools. No specific personal protective equipment requirements are identified at this stage. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Louisville, CO. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
