Scope of role Responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including the handling, storage and movement of equipment. Leads a warehouse team to ensure operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, health and safety compliance, and strong customer service delivery.

Working days and hours Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30; Friday 08:00 – 15:30

Key accountabilities

• Manage and motivate team on-site at customer location, driving a high-performance culture. • Oversee daily Warehouse Operations, ensuring smooth handling of all inbound and outbound high value equipment. • Demonstrate best practice across all areas of responsibility inspiring people to engage and deliver key business results. • Oversee Mentoring the team to allow them to grow their skills and promote development within the team. • Implement company people process in a consistent manner to ensure employee development and retention of talent. • Act as primary point of contact for customer, ensuring strong relationships and service level adherence. • Manage any disciplinary issues within the team in collaboration with HR • Monitor Performance metrics, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions. • Manage and record absence and conduct return to work interviews/ medical certs for all absenteeism and escalate any issues to HR. • Ensure all the necessary training is provided to each employee by conducting Training Needs Analysis and ensuring all team members have up-to-date Individual Training Plan, which caters for cross training. Maintain training records and ensure all certification is within legal guidelines. • Manage agreed shift schedule and provide cover plans for holiday and absence in collaboration with customer always ensuring adequate staffing levels • Conduct annual performance and interim reviews with each employee, set yearly targets and regularly meet to ensure they are on track. • Ensures Quality Standards are met and adhered to. • Ensures inventory accuracy • Action Operational irregularities / customer complaints, and implement corrective actions • Ordering, stock control, maintenance of warehouse supplies / equipment • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices • Ensure compliance with SOPs and processes • Facilitate customer & quality audits • Ensure the team understand the health and safety/security requirements and ensure full compliance. • Escalate any safety/ security breaches immediately. • Actively engage in the risk assessment process as it pertains to the activities on site and contribute to the development of related safe systems of work. • Ensure the principles of our Safety-First agenda is adhered to with no exception. • Attend all necessary meetings as required. • Ensure operational compliance to all revenue and international trade legislative requirements, and all requirements under Data Protection Legislation in addition to all DGF IE policies and procedures (H&S, Quality, Environmental, HR, etc), and work in a manner that supports the Company environment programme • Participate in the implementation of operational processes and perform work to the standards of Good Distribution practice (GDP) for Life Science business, as required.

• Ensure operational compliance to all revenue and international trade legislative requirements, and all requirements under Data Protection Legislation in addition to all DHL Global Forwarding Ireland policies and procedures (H&S, Quality, Environmental, HR, etc), and work in a manner that supports the Company environment programme. • Participate in the implementation of operational processes and perform work to the standards of Good Distribution practice (GDP) for Life Science business, as required.

Experience and qualifications

Expected experience

• Minimum 5 years of people management/leadership experience including proven track record in performance management, annual leave management, absence processes, and developing and motivating team members. • Continuous improvement mindset and proven ability to develop procedures and lead change initiatives. • Self-directed working style and capable of making well informed decisions. • Strong communication skills and experience communicating and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels. • Strong commercial attitude. • Results driven with excellent attention to detail. • Good MS Office skills in particular excellent Microsoft excel skills. • Strong administrative skills. • Excellent knowledge of English (verbal/written).

Expected qualifications

• A qualification in Logistics or International Business is desirable but not essential
