General Requirements • Work cooperatively in a team environment and accept and follow directions. • Follow time and attendance guidelines in accordance with the employee handbook. • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. • Experienced in operating a variety of equipment and tools • Able to work well with minimal supervision • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures • Able to stand for long periods and climb stairs regularly throughout shift. • Physically capable of lifting 75 pounds unassisted • Ability to regularly lift and / or carry up to 55 pounds individually or up to 100 pounds with assistance. • Ability to squat and bend frequently while lifting up to 55 pounds during shift. • Tolerant of seasonally very warm temperatures. • Basic computer knowledge and skills. Quality Control Requirements • Knowledge of and ability to follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). • Complete understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and its importance. • Follow and monitor to ensure all Safe Quality Food (SQF) guidelines are implemented and followed. • Report any suspicious activity related to food defense. Note: Required to report food safety problems or concerns immediately to a person with authority to initiate action as indicated on the organizational chart.
Safety Requirements • Be aware of and follow up to date OSHA regulations that apply to the tasks in your job. • Practice safe lifting techniques, bending and lifting with your legs not your back. • Pivot with your feet avoiding twisting at the waist. • Be aware of your surroundings, watching for forklift traffic and trip hazards such as pallets or cords. • Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the job you are doing. • Maintain proper guards and safety devices when working with machinery and on catwalks. • Never operate equipment for which you have not been properly trained or certified for. Education/Certifications • High school diploma/GED required • Technical Degree preferred Member of following Teams • Maintenance Job Responsibilities • Complete tasks assigned by the Maintenance Manager. • Assist in equipment set-up and reassembly. • Complete work order and preventive maintenance reports. Ensure all work is properly documented in Maximo. • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency. Notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol. • Support production and clean-up with breakdowns or repairs. • Perform machine set ups for the next incoming shift. • Perform other tasks as assigned by management. • Respond to reports of suspicious activity related to food defense. • Be on-call every 4th weekend unless otherwise noted. : Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
