Standard Job Description Automotive Mechanic responsible for a wide range of tasks related to the upkeep and repair of various vehicle types both gasoline and diesel engines. All tools and specialty equipment are provided. Key duties include: Conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to identify and repair mechanical and electrical problems. This involves using diagnostic computers and other specialty tools to accurately pinpoint the source of malfunctions. Repairing or replacing worn or defective parts, including engine components, drivetrain, brakes, steering and suspension systems. This also includes routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks. Keeps detailed records of all services and repairs performed on vehicles.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities: Basic Qualifications 3 - 4 years of experience or technical training as a mechanic maintaining military or civilian equipment. Military Mechanic (MOS 91A/B/C/D/H/L/M/P/S or MOS 3521) or Dealer / Shop Mechanic. Some ASE Certifications (A, L, MIL, T Series) or OEM equivalent training / certification.

Ability to obtain and maintain a USG SECRET Clearance.

Ability to lift 50lbs.

Desired Skills 5+ years of experience directly working on and modifying vehicles to include welding and fabrication.

Active SECRET Clearance.

Multiple ASE Certifications (A1-A9, L1-L4, & MIL1-MIL8, T1-T8)

Heavy machinery or MHE experience or training.

Paint and bodywork experience or training.

Pay Information

This position is covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA) with an hourly wage of no less than $22.24 per hour. At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
