ACTUAL SALARY: £19,859.99 TO £21,511.45 PER ANNUM
DAYS: MONDAY TO FRIDAY
HOURS: 32.5HOURS PER WEEK
WORK PATTERN: Monday to Friday: 8.30am to 3.30pm (Half hour unpaid lunch break)
WEEKS OF WORK: Term time + 1-week equivalent hours to be worked flexibly for training.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant with strong phonics knowledge to join our dedicated team and make a real difference to children's learning and development.
We are seeking a committed, nurturing and proactive KS1/KS2 Teaching Assistant to provide high-quality support for pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This will be a highly rewarding role for practitioners with experience supporting diverse learners, including pupils with SEND and EAL, who want to play a pivotal role in enabling our pupils to thrive academically, emotionally and socially.
This varied and rewarding role will involve:
Delivering targeted phonics interventions to support pupils in developing strong reading and spelling skillsSupporting pupils across KS1 and KS2 to ensure they make good progress from their starting points, including pupils with SEND and EALWorking closely with class teachers to deliver high-quality learning experiences, including small group work and one-to-one supportContributing to pupil assessment and progress tracking, using your specialist skills and experience to help identify barriers to learningActively engaging with the school's provision map, supporting interventions and contributing to the APDR (Assess, Plan, Do, Review) cycleSupporting pupils' wellbeing and dignity, including delivering intimate care where required Facilitating smooth transitions between year groups and key stages, ensuring continuity of supportBuilding effective relationships with pupils, colleagues, parents and carers to ensure consistent and high-quality supportContributing to a positive learning environment where all pupils feel valued and supported to achieve their bestWe are looking for someone who:
Has a Teaching Assistant or other relevant qualification and proven experience working in KS1 and/or KS2Demonstrates strong phonics knowledge, ideally with training in systematic synthetic phonics programmes (Read Write Inc, or similar)Has secure literacy and numeracy skills, including GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) Has training and experience delivering interventions in KS1/KS2, with demonstrable evidence of impact on pupil progressHas experience supporting pupils with SEND, including understanding how to identify potential barriers to learning and adapt support accordinglyHas experience supporting pupils with EAL, understanding the specific challenges they may face and how to scaffold their learning effectively Understands child development across the primary age range and how to support pupils at different stages of their learning journey Communicates confidently and effectively with pupils, staff, and parents/carers Works collaboratively as part of a team and uses initiative to respond flexibly to pupils' needsIs well organised, reflective, and committed to ongoing professional developmentShares the values and ethos of a high-performing, child-centred school We are proud to belong to Keys Academies Trust, which offers valuable opportunities for collaboration across schools and enhances the experiences we provide for our children.
