About this role
We are looking for an experienced Head of Year to support our students at Harris Academy Chobham. This is a non-teaching, pastoral role, offered on a fixed-term contract to August 2027.
The actual salary will be £35,534.27 (37.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year).

GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above, or equivalentKnowledge of behaviour for learning policiesKnowledge of the range of barriers to learning that students faceTraining in child protection and safeguarding proceduresBasic knowledge of first aid (e.g. emergency first aid course)Two years' experience of working in an inner city school or educational establishmentExperience of dealing successfully with a range of behaviour issuesExperience of working with staff to ensure excellent behaviour for learningExperience of working with familiesExperience of supervising a group of students for reflections, referral and internal exclusion as appropriateExperience of working with challenging students and finding ways in which we can meet their needs more successfully
