About this role

Grade:Grade 3, £26,388 - £27,188 per annum, pro rata. Approximately £18,289 – £18,844 per annum (0.69309 FTE)

About us and the role

We are looking for a dedicated Learning Coach to support the delivery of high-quality learning and ensure that all young people at Avanti Grange have the opportunity to succeed.

Working closely with teachers and inclusion colleagues, you will provide flexible support across the classroom, through targeted small-group interventions and individual learning where appropriate. You will play a key role in promoting inclusion, supporting pupils with a range of needs and helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally.

Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils will be an important part of the role, enabling you to understand their individual strengths, needs and barriers to learning and adapt your approach accordingly.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues and families to help create the right conditions for pupils to engage positively with their education and achieve their potential.You will also contribute to a positive, respectful and inclusive school culture that reflects the values and ethos of the Avanti Schools Trust.

What will you do?

Provide individual, small-group and whole-class learning support, adapting approaches to help every young person access the curriculum and achieve their potential.Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils, understanding their individual strengths, needs and barriers to learning, and promoting confidence, independence and positive behaviour.Support pupils with SEND and those for whom English is an additional language, implementing appropriate strategies and guidance to promote inclusion and progress.Work closely with teachers, school leaders, families and other professionals, sharing observations and feedback and contributing to effective support for pupils’ learning, development and wellbeing.Promote a safe, inclusive and positive school environment, with safeguarding at the heart of your practice, while contributing to the wider life and ethos of Avanti Grange.

What are we looking for?
