About this role

The Lighting/Projection production work study student role will work primarily with the Faculty Lighting Designer as well as other technical faculty and staff to assist in managing, organizing, repairing instruments, and installing designs plots for productions. In conversation with the Lighting Design Faculty, for the interested student this could expand to include assisting with programming, operating show cues, or assisting with designs. Work calls will be scheduled with your supervisor, hours can be flexible, with more time needed closer to production deadlines(often between weeks 6-8 of each term). This will include work with lighting, projections, and may overlap into sound and video support. Hours may include work hours in evenings or weekends depending on production needs.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist in managing, organizing and repair instruments

• Assist in installing design plot for productions

Qualifications:

• Follow verbal and written instructions

• Adhere to safety procedures

• Comfortable with heights/climbing ladders

• Ability to carry at last 25 pounds
