About this role

The Mold Tooling Technician is responsible to ensure that injection molds are maintained and perform as expected for the production team. The Mold Tooling Technician is expected to encourage safe practices and enforce safety policies.

General Responsibilities

• Preform preventative maintenance, repairs and modifications on injection molds. • Assemble and dis-assemble molds for changeover, repairs and spare component analysis. • Provide technical assistance to technical and production teams as needed. • Troubleshoot mold tooling issues and implement a plan to solve the problems found • Complete mold tooling documentation as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical skills and technical problem solving • Ability to read electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics • Ability to be flexible in approach and adapt to workload. • Methodical problem solving approach • Good understanding of operating a Mill, Lathe, Grinder, and Welder • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written • Hot Runner Knowledge of heaters, thermocouples and other components. • Observe safe rigging and mold handling practices.
