We're looking for a Client Relationship Director to join our Workplace team on a permanent basis, this is a Senior role, reporting into the Director, DC Clients. Workplace is a core market for Aegon UK and therefore is critical to the strategy and success of the business. We have an ambitious growth model and the Workplace Investing team has a key objective to build on the existing strong market position and expand in the large scheme and EBC market as well as maintaining our success in the SME sector. Our focus is on digital adoption, growth and driving AUM and consolidation of assets onto our Platform. This requires the delivery of a compelling proposition and providing strong strategic relationship management.

As a Client Relationship Director you will focus on developing, broadening and strengthening key client relationships to improve retention, increase assets under management, support the development of new business and help improve the profitability of the channel through driving retention, revenue and income from existing clients.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Creating strong, enduring relationships with clients at all levels to help protect and retain our valuable schemes.

• Identifying and delivering new opportunities through ensuring Trustees/employers are aware and understand the full range of Aegon services - with a view to improving the profitable retention of the business.

• Overseeing delivery in the widest sense from implementation and through the life of the scheme.

• Forging deeper relationships with existing clients and achieving retention goals.

• Driving opportunities to achieve value.

• Delivering a strong direct to employer strategy and suite of services.

• Overseeing all aspects of the team’s delivery, adhering to regulatory/T&C requirements.

• Developing internal relationships with senior colleagues to engender and influence open and constructive dialogue.

• Playing a pivotal role in securing profitable new corporate clients and trustees, working closely with the Workplace Sales Director.

• Internal project work, providing input to key propositional developments

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• A strong understanding of Defined Contribution (DC) investment solutions and the wider pensions marketplace, including knowledge of competitor and provider propositions.

• A proven track record of building, managing and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, developing trusted partnerships, influencing outcomes and delivering exceptional client experiences.

• Strong influencing and negotiation skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively, provide expert guidance and engage effectively with senior stakeholders, including board-level decision makers.

• Experience managing complex projects, programmes or client initiatives, ensuring priorities are delivered on time and aligned to strategic business objectives.

• The ability to make sound commercial and business decisions, using market insight, client needs and data to identify opportunities and drive successful outcomes.

• A strategic mindset, with experience developing and implementing client plans that support long-term business goals and deliver value for clients and the organisation.

• A creative and innovative approach to problem solving, with the ability to identify opportunities, address challenges and continuously improve ways of working.

• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with experience preparing and delivering impactful messages to a variety of audiences and building credibility with diverse stakeholders.

• In-depth knowledge of pensions legislation, industry developments and wider financial services trends, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a client-facing environment.

• A thorough understanding of corporate pension propositions and the ability to translate technical information into practical, client-focused solutions.

• A professional qualification such as FPMI, FPC or an equivalent pensions qualification would be advantageous, although not essential.

• We're serious about your future and our enhanced pension scheme is now in place. We ask you to contribute 3% of your salary to your pension and we'll put in 9%. If you decide to contribute more, we'll match it up to a combined total of 20% of your salary (that's 7% from you and 13% from us).
