Job summary
We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Health Care worker to join the Adult Cardiac Critical Care Unit at the Bart's Heart Centre based at St Bartholomew. The Bart's Heart centre is a cardiac hospital that accepts elective and emergency patients as well as patients that are admitted via the busy heart attack centre.The post holder will need to have excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to caring for patients within the critical care environment.The successful candidate will support the ward manager and the team in ensuring quality of care is constantly improving and the service is developing and supporting Trust objectives and values
As part of the recruitment process for this post, candidates will be required to complete an online literacy and numeracy test and only if they pass this, will they be invited to a formal interview
Main duties of the job
The post holder will need to have excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to caring for patients within the critical care environment.
The successful candidate will support the ward manager and the team in ensuring safe, quality care is constantly improving and the service is developing and supporting Trust objectives and valuesSupport registered nurses in the provision of a safe and caring environment.
This role covers a 24 hour service and you are required to do long days, night duty, weekends and bank holidays

Person Specification
Qualifications/ Experience Essential
GCSE in maths and English language or minimum of Key Skills Level 1 in literacy and numeracy. Experience in working in a team Experience of working with the public and demonstrating strong customer care skills
Desirable
Health care / caring experience NVQ Level 2 in Healthcare
