Are you looking to begin a rewarding career supporting people affected by drug and alcohol use? Inclusion Recovery Hampshire is seeking two compassionate, motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Trainee Recovery Workers.
These are part-time positions working 28 hours per week, with flexible base locations available across our Hampshire hubs. The roles are designed for individuals with transferable skills, relevant qualifications or experience who are keen to develop a career within community drug and alcohol services. You will receive training, supervision and support while learning to deliver recovery-focused interventions and build the skills required to manage a caseload.
Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you will support service users throughout their treatment journeys, helping them identify strengths, achieve personal goals and build positive connections. You will gain experience in assessment, care planning, harm reduction, motivational approaches, group work and partnership working.

Main duties of the job
As a Trainee Recovery Worker, you will undertake a programme of learning and development whilst supporting individuals accessing drug and alcohol treatment services.
Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will engage service users in treatment, promote recovery and wellbeing, and support individuals to achieve their personal goals. Through training, supervision and practical experience, you will develop the skills required to assess needs, support recovery planning and deliver a range of evidence-based interventions.
Key duties include:
o Supporting service users throughout their treatment and recovery journeys.o Learning to manage a caseload appropriate to your level of knowledge and experience.o Delivering harm reduction information and advice.o Assisting with assessments, recovery planning and onward referrals.o Developing skills in motivational interviewing, brief interventions and solution-focused approaches.o Supporting the delivery of group work and recovery-focused activities.o Promoting visible recovery and helping service users build recovery capital and community connections.o Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, social care, criminal justice services and community organisations.o Maintaining accurate records and contributing to positive outcomes for service users.
You will receive regular supervision, support and training to develop your confidence and competence within the role.

Participate fully in the Trainee Recovery Worker development programme and attend all required training. Shadow experienced team members and progressively develop the skills required to work independently. Engage service users into treatment and support them throughout their recovery journey. Assist with accepting referrals, gathering information and assessing support needs. Support the implementation and review of recovery plans using person-centred, strengths-based approaches. Learn to identify, assess and manage risk with appropriate support and supervision.

Qualifications Essential
Level 3 NVQ or Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent in a related field which may include counselling, social work, nursing, psychology, human resources, social studies Or Equivalent experience
