About this role

Job summary We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Administration Apprentice to join our Digital Transformation & Improvement Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their career who is keen to develop administration, digital and improvement skills while gaining a nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification.

This role offers: A nationally recognised Business Administration / NHS Administration apprenticeship qualification On-the-job learning within a Digital Transformation & Improvement Team Exposure to quality improvement, service redesign and digital change in an NHS setting Support, mentoring and development opportunities to progress within NHS administration or improvement roles

Main duties of the job The post holder will provide day-to-day administrative support to the Digital Transformation, Digital Programme & Improvement Team, helping to coordinate meetings, manage information, support improvement programmes and ensure effective communication across clinical, operational and corporate teams. Alongside on-the-job learning, the apprentice will complete a structured apprenticeship programme to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours required for a career in NHS administration and improvement.

Duties and responsibilities

Administrative Support

Provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Digital Transformation & Digital Programme Teams Organise meetings, workshops and events, including booking rooms, arranging virtual meetings and circulating agendas and papers Take accurate meeting notes and actions from meetings and ensure timely follow-up Maintain electronic filing systems, databases and trackers to support improvement programmes and projects Support the preparation of documents, reports, presentations and basic data summaries Main accurate records, within Sharepoint, to support administration of Digital Governance Communication and Coordination

Act as a point of contact for the team, responding to routine enquiries in a professional and timely manner Liaise with colleagues across clinical, operational and corporate teams to support improvement work Support internal communications, including updating documents, trackers or intranet content where required Produce and distribute team newsletters and update Develop mechanisms, with Quality Improvement and PMO apprentice, to provide administrative cover for each other Improvement and Transformation Support

Provide administrative support to quality improvement, service transformation and digital change initiatives Help track actions, milestones and deadlines for improvement projects Support the collation of feedback, learning and lessons learned from improvement activity Apprenticeship and Development

Actively participate in the apprenticeship programme, completing all required training, coursework and assessments Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills, systems and ways of working Apply learning from the apprenticeship to day-to-day work Attend regular reviews with the line manager and apprenticeship assessor General Responsibilities

Maintain confidentiality and comply with information governance, data protection and Trust policies Work in line with Trust values and behaviours Undertake any other reasonable duties appropriate to the role and level This job description may be subject to change according to the varying needs of the service. Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths (grade 4-9 or equivalent) Eligibility to undertake an apprenticeship programme (L3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship or equivalent)

Experience Desirable

Previous experience in an office, administrative or customer-facing role (paid or voluntary)
