Job summary

Valentine Health Partnership is seeking a receptionist to join our friendly Patient Care Team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service whilst helping patients access the care they need. We operate a clinician-led Clinical Triage model, where all patient requests are reviewed by an appropriate clinician before appointments or outcomes are determined.

Main duties of the job

Providing a professional and welcoming service to patients and visitors.

Answering telephone calls and responding to patient enquiries.

Supporting patients to complete online consultation forms where required.

Assisting with appointment management and care navigation.

Processing administrative duties using EMIS and other practice systems.

Supporting clinicians and colleagues in the management of patient requests and triage outcomes.

About YouWe are looking for someone who:

has excellent communication and customer service skills;

works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment;

has good IT and administrative skills;

is compassionate, professional, and committed to delivering outstanding patient care

can work effectively as part of a team.

Previous experience in a GP surgery, NHS setting, or customer service role would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
