Bankhouse Surgery has an opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced practice nurse to join our friendly team.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual, with experience of working in primary care to work alongside our existing team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, along with excellent time management skills and team working
Main duties of the job
To provide a range of practice nursing duties including treatment room, management of long term conditions including, diabetes, asthma, COPD and CHD. Providing continuity of care and follow up for the patients. Supporting the practice in achieving QOF and enhanced service targets.
About us
The practice has 6 GP partners, 1 salaried GP, 1 pharmacist, 1 pharmacy technician, 2 practice nurses, 1 HCA and 1 GPA. We also have an established reception and admin team. The practice is a training practice for both doctors and medical students and offers services to approximately 10, 000 patients

Provide appropriate health promotion for patients with or at risk of long term conditions
Cervical smear taking
Routine childhood vaccinations
Adult vaccinations including travel
Seasonal vaccinations
IPC lead nurse
Supporting the practice in achieving QOF targets
Maintain accurate records at all times
Attend and participate in meetings as required
Any other delegated duties appropriate to the role
Flexibility of working to ensure sufficient cover is provided
On occasions there may be a requirement to undertake home visits

Experience Essential
Relevant primary care experience Working under PGDs and associated policies Working autonomously Good understanding of safeguarding
Desirable
Experience of working with Systm1 clinical system Knowledge of QOF, NICE guidance and national screening programmes
Qualifications Essential
Essential qualifications and professional registration Registered Nurse with current NMC registration Good standard of general education Primary care or relevant experience Recognised training in chronic disease Management Recognised training in immunisations Recognised training in cervical smear taking
Desirable
Experience of working with Systm1 clinical system Knowledge of QOF, NICE guidance and national screening programmes
