About this role
We’re looking for an experienced administrator or governance professional to join St Antony’s College as College Secretary.
Reporting to the Bursar (COO), you will provide high-level support for the College’s governance and committee processes. You will also coordinate regulatory compliance, helping ensure the College meets its responsibilities as a registered charity and UK public body.
About the role:
Working closely with Trustees, Fellows and senior colleagues, you will:
Organise key College committees, including preparing papers and accurate minutes Advise committee chairs, monitor actions and maintain governance records Support policy reviews and trustee matters Coordinate the recruitment and induction of Governing Body Fellows Act as the College’s Information Officer, managing Freedom of Information requests Coordinate regulatory returns and maintain relevant governance information Draft consultancy agreements on behalf of the Bursar
You will have:
Significant relevant administrative experience, including supporting senior colleagues or committees Excellent organisational and communication skills Experience preparing committee papers and minutes Sound judgement and strong attention to detail Awareness of legislation affecting UK public bodies, including Freedom of Information Strong IT skills Tact and discretion when handling confidential information A proactive, collaborative and flexible approach
