About this role
The post holder will join an Invest NI funded program working towards control and optimisation of ion beams driven by high-power lasers and their potential applications. The experimental work will be carried out employing high-power lasers at large-scale facilities both within and outside the UK. The candidate is expected to be an active member of the research team responsible for planning and delivery of the research activities.
About The Person
Candidates should clearly demonstrate on their application how they meet the following criteria: -
Hold or be about to obtain a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in high-power laser plasma interaction and related areas. Demonstrate significant experience in experimental research using high-power lasers, Experience in using computer codes for data analysis, Experience of working in small/medium groups of researchers.
