About this role
Vancouver Whitecaps FC is looking for a creative and passionate Video Producer to help bring that mission to life through compelling visual storytelling.
As a key member of our Content Production team, you’ll create engaging video content across our broadcast, digital, and social platforms, helping deepen the connection between the club and our fans. From social-first content and commercial campaigns to matches, community initiatives, and major club launches, you’ll have the opportunity to work across a wide range of projects and tell stories that showcase the people, players, and moments that make the Whitecaps unique.
This is an opportunity to take meaningful creative ownership while working alongside an experienced production team and collaborating with designers, photographers, communications, marketing, and other teams across the club. You’ll contribute ideas from concept through execution, develop your storytelling and strategic skills, and gain valuable experience in the fast-paced world of professional sports.

Key Responsibilities
• Capture and edit engaging video content for Community, Academy, Sales, and Communications initiatives across the club's digital and social platforms.
• Assist with shoots, press conferences, interviews, events, training, community programs, and matches, including travel to select away.
• Identify interesting stories and creative opportunities and contribute ideas during planning and production.
• Produce social-first content that aligns with current digital trends and platform best practices.
• Develop commercial video assets that support business objectives, including ticket sales, sponsorship activations, and merchandise promotion.
• Partner with the content and marketing teams on large-scale projects such as schedule release, theme nights, and jersey launches.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication to ensure content is delivered on schedule and meets organizational needs.
• Organize footage, project files, and media assets to support efficient workflows across the content team.
Qualifications & Experience
In addition to bringing a commitment to Vancouver Whitecaps FC vision and values, the ideal candidate will require degrees of demonstrated experience as follows:
• Education in Video Production, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, Broadcasting, Marketing, or other industry-relevant field.
• 2-3+ years of video production experience, ideally in a sports or entertainment environment.
• A portfolio that demonstrates creativity, attention to detail, initiative, and strong storytelling instincts.
• Passion for video production, storytelling, and sports.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from conceptualization to completion-including ideation, scriptwriting, shooting, editing, and delivery.
• Experience creating content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other digital channels.
• Proficiency with Premiere Pro, with After Effects familiarity an asset.
• Working knowledge of multiple cameras and production formats, with Sony cinema camera experience an asset.
• Takes initiative, works collaboratively with producers, graphic designers, and game presentation staff, and thrives in a team environment.
• Quick learner who adapts to new organizational processes.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends and matchdays as required.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Photography, graphic design, motion graphics, or animation skills are considered assets but are not required.
