About this role

🌍 We're Hiring: Sales Development Representative – EU Projects & Fundlink (Athens)

Odyssea's mission is to ensure that people have equal opportunities by harnessing the power of knowledge for employment and personal development. Our vision is to build a world where all young people thrive by realising their full potential.

Beyond our direct work with young people, Odyssea partners with organisations across Europe to design and deliver EU-funded projects, and we've built Fundlink — our own CRM and consortium-building platform for partnership tracking and partner discovery — to help the wider sector do the same, more efficiently. If you are a driven, persuasive communicator who loves the thrill of opening doors and turning conversations into opportunities, this is a great position for you!

📍 Location: Athens, Greece (Hybrid)

🕐 Job Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our team in Athens and act as the driving force behind new business growth across two connected fronts: building new EU project consortium partnerships for Odyssea, and growing the client base for Fundlink, the CRM and consortium-building platform we've developed in-house. This is a "hunter" role at heart: you will proactively prospect, cold-call, and open doors with key decision makers at NGOs, Companies implementing EU Projects and Trusted Partners generating qualified opportunities that fuel both fronts.

We are specifically looking for a professional who is self-motivated and resilient — someone who thrives in a high-performance, target-driven environment, enjoys building relationships from scratch, and can think strategically to connect Odyssea's EU project expertise and Fundlink's capabilities to what genuinely moves the needle for a prospect's mission, funding goals, and day-to-day partnership work.

Key Responsibilities

• Prospecting & New Business: Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to build new consortia/partnerships and to acquire new Fundlink clients, acting as a true "hunter" for the organisation.

• Cold-Calling & Outreach: Cold-call key decision makers at NGOs, Companies implementing EU Projects and Trusted Partners; monitor a daily volume of outbound sales calls; and arrange sales appointments over the phone or virtually.

• Lead Identification & Research: Identify potential partners and clients across the EU funding ecosystem (e.g. Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, CERV, and similar programmes), pinpoint key decision makers inside target organisations, and research their funding priorities, partnership needs, and organisational profile.

• Strategic Solutioning: Think strategically to position Odyssea as a consortium partner of choice, and to tailor Fundlink's CRM, consortium-building, partner-tracking, and partner-finding features to each prospect's specific funding and partnership challenges.

• Pipeline Management: Use and update CRM records — including Fundlink itself — to manage leads, track sales activities, and keep accurate, up-to-date records throughout the sales cycle.

• Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date on EU funding calls, the competitive landscape for consortium-building and partner-tracking tools, and sector trends to sharpen outreach and positioning.

• Account Management: Nurture relationships with existing consortium partners and Fundlink clients after the initial handover, staying close to their evolving needs and spotting opportunities to grow the account — new joint proposals, renewed partnerships, or Fundlink upsells — over time.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree: in a relevant field.

• Proven hunter mindset: with the ability to self-motivate and consistently perform in a high-performance, target-driven environment.

• Outstanding Communication: excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and time management skills.

• Tech & SaaS Comfort: familiar with computer applications and CRM/software tools, and comfortable learning and confidently demoing a software product (Fundlink) to prospects.

• Relationship Building: ability to build and maintain strong relationships with potential partners and clients over the phone and virtually.

• Sector Awareness: working understanding of the EU funding landscape and the NGO/nonprofit sector (e.g. Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, CERV, or similar) is highly valued.

• Organisation & Time Management: strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy daily calling and appointment schedule.

• Team & Independent Work: ability to work independently as a self-starter while also collaborating closely with account managers and the wider team.

• Adaptability: flexibility and adaptability to change in a fast-moving, evolving market.

• Language Skills: excellent command of English, the working language of most EU project consortia; Greek fluency is a plus for local client-facing calls.

Great plus:

• Previous experience in a sales, business development, or partnerships role within the EU funding, NGO, or nonprofit sector.

• Prior experience selling SaaS or other software solutions.

• Familiarity with EU project consortium building, grant/funding management, or donor & partner CRM systems.

What we offer to make your work-life awesome! 🌟:

• 🎯 Solid onboarding plan: structured new-hire and ongoing training

• ✈️ Hybrid work model: One remote day per week.

• 🏖️ 3 extra holiday days than your PTO (as stipulated by Greek law).

• 📚 3 personal learning days per annum with a 100€ company contribution.

• 🌍 2 volunteer days off per annum to be used at another organisation.

• 🏥 Private health insurance.

Recruitment process:

• 1st Interview: with the HR Generalist & EU Program Manager
