About this role

Kinetic Design + Development is looking for an Business Systems Integrator to join the Krew.

If you’re a business systems professional who thrives in both the creative and technical sides of the process, this role is for you.

You’ll turn business and systems direction into technology that actually works. From evaluating technical options and configuring SaaS platforms to building integrations, automations, data solutions, and AI-enabled workflows, you’ll take ideas from detailed design through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement.

This is a role for someone who likes figuring things out. You’ll research what’s possible, weigh tradeoffs, recommend smart technical approaches, and bring emerging technology ideas to the table. You’ll work closely with Operations, functional teams, and vendors to build maintainable solutions that reduce friction, eliminate manual work, and help Kinetic move with more clarity and confidence.

Who You Are

You’re technically curious, highly analytical, and energized by solving problems that do not come with a step-by-step playbook. You can take established direction, dig into the details, explore options, and make a sound recommendation without needing someone to tell you exactly how to get there.

You take ownership from start to finish. You care about building solutions that are useful today and maintainable tomorrow, and you’re comfortable challenging assumptions when you see a better path. You communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teammates, collaborate easily across functions, and stay adaptable as technology evolves.

You’re especially excited by automation, AI, data, and emerging tools. You know technology is most valuable when it meaningfully improves how people work, and you’re motivated to help the Operations team understand what’s possible without chasing technology for technology’s sake.

What You’ll Do

• Translate business needs and established systems direction into detailed requirements, workflows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation plans.

• Evaluate technical alternatives and recommend solutions based on usability, cost, scalability, maintainability, risk, and long-term support.

• Define system configurations, data structures, permissions, workflows, integrations, and system behavior within established architecture.

• Configure, implement, test, and improve business applications and SaaS platforms.

• Build and maintain integrations and data flows between systems.

• Design and implement workflow automations and AI-enabled solutions that reduce friction, rework, and manual effort.

• Research and surface emerging AI, automation, data, and business-system capabilities that could meaningfully improve Kinetic.

• Build and maintain operational data solutions, reporting infrastructure, dashboards, and related integrations.

• Support platforms such as Power BI and other systems requiring specialized business or technical expertise beyond traditional IT administration.

• Improve data quality, accessibility, and consistency across business systems.

• Own assigned solutions through their full lifecycle, from detailed design and implementation through testing, deployment, maintenance, improvement, replacement, or retirement.

• Troubleshoot issues, diagnose root causes, and coordinate resolution with IT or vendors when needed.

• Manage technical debt by avoiding fragile short-term fixes, documenting intentional tradeoffs, and balancing speed with maintainability.

• Reduce ongoing support burden through thoughtful implementation, documentation, and standardization.

• Partner with the Director of Operations & Innovation to pressure-test technical approaches and keep implementation aligned with broader business and systems direction.

• Collaborate with the Senior Operations Integrator and Operations team on initiatives involving process, communication, training, and adoption.

• Work directly with functional teams to clarify requirements, validate solutions, and understand real-world usage.

• Bring ideas, lessons learned, and emerging capabilities back to the Operations team to inform future priorities.

• Document systems and solutions well enough to support team continuity and shared knowledge.

• Enable the Director of Operations & Innovation to stay focused on organizational diagnosis, architecture, and prioritization rather than becoming the default technical implementer.

Tools You’ll Use

• Microsoft ecosystem: Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, Teams, and related business applications

• Business applications and SaaS platforms

• APIs, integrations, workflow automation, and data systems

• Reporting and dashboarding platforms

• AI and emerging automation technologies

What You’ll Bring

• 7+ years of experience in business systems, technology implementation, systems analysis, automation, integrations, or related work, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

• Demonstrated experience carrying business systems or technical solutions through implementation, operation, improvement, and ongoing maintenance.

• Strong hands-on experience configuring and implementing business applications or SaaS platforms.

• Experience evaluating technologies and recommending solutions based on business and technical tradeoffs.

• Experience with APIs, integrations, workflow automation, data systems, or reporting platforms.

• Experience working within the Microsoft ecosystem, including Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, Teams, and related business applications is preferred.

• Working knowledge of AI and a strong interest in continually developing your expertise as the technology evolves.

• Ability to define requirements, workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria without creating unnecessary process.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause problem-solving skills.

• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Sound judgment, curiosity, ownership, and the confidence to constructively challenge assumptions.
