IT Team Leader Buller District Council | Te Kaunihera o Kawatiri Westport | Kawatiri Permanent | Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week

Reporting to the Group Manager Corporate Services, this pivotal leadership role is responsible for Council's Information Technology, Telecommunications, GIS, Information Management Systems, Cyber Security, and Digital Strategy. You will lead the delivery and continual improvement of Council's technology environment, ensuring secure, reliable, and innovative solutions that support our staff, elected members, and community.

The Opportunity | Te Whai Wāhitanga This role offers a unique mix of:
• Leading Council's IT, telecommunications and GIS
• Managing network infrastructure, cyber security, telecommunications, and enterprise systems.
• Supporting and developing IT service delivery across the organisation.
• Managing system upgrades, technology investments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Providing strategic technology leadership and developing future-focused IT roadmaps.
What You'll Bring | Ō Pūkenga me Ō Wheako We are looking for someone with the following:
Essential:
• Relevant ICT qualification and a minimum of five years' experience in a senior IT role.
• Proven experience managing network security and cyber security.
• Experience delivering IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of database management, business systems, and information management practices.
• Experience supporting platforms such as ERP systems/websites/document management systems
Desirable:
• Project Management certification or significant project delivery experience.
• Knowledge of local government systems and operating environments.
