About this role
Here's the honest pitch: we're a growing home service company, and our Plumbing Department is a core part of how we take care of Mohave County. We're looking for a leader who can take a team of good plumbers and help them perform at the next level, in the field and on the numbers. If that sounds like the kind of role you've been waiting for, keep reading.
What You'll Actually Do Forget the standard job description bullets. Here's the real shape of the role:
• Lead, coach, and develop your team. One-on-ones, ride-alongs, and real training. The plumbers who report to you should be measurably better six months after you start than they are today, in their technical skill and in how they take care of the customer.
• Own the department's results. You'll be accountable for quality, safety, revenue, and profitability. The numbers matter, and you'll be the one driving the team toward them.
• Put the customer first, always. Handle escalated concerns, resolve service issues professionally, and set the standard for how your team shows up on every call.
• Run the day-to-day. Job scheduling, on-call rotations, and "Right Tech, Right Call" so the right plumber is on every job.
• Keep your techs productive. Partner with Dispatch and the warehouse on parts, warranties, and truck stock so your team spends its time doing the work, not chasing materials.
• Tell the story with data. Know your KPIs cold, present them to leadership regularly, and turn the numbers into a clear picture of what's working, what's not, and what's changing.
• Build the culture. Run weekly team meetings and ongoing training that keep the team sharp, motivated, and pulling in the same direction.
Who You Are We're looking for a specific kind of leader. If most of this sounds like you, we should talk:
• You've led a team before, and you loved it. This is the big one. You've managed a team and gotten the most out of them day after day, whether that was in the trades, another service business, retail, sales, or somewhere else. The industry matters less than the leadership.
• You've got a track record of results. You can point to numbers that got better because you were in the seat. You know how to set a bar and pull a team up to it.
• You build people. You see coaching as one of the most important parts of the job, not a chore. If the people who worked for you say they grew because of you, you've done it right.
• You communicate well, with everyone. You can connect with a frustrated customer, coach a struggling team member, and present a performance report to leadership with equal confidence.
• You're organized and a strong problem-solver. You can juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment without dropping the ball.
• Trade or field experience is a plus, not a must. If you've worked in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or another hands-on trade, great. If not and you're a strong leader, we still want to hear from you.
• You have a valid driver's license.
