Division Engineering Department Tool Engg PDC Level / Grade Ex Functional Area PDC Design 1 Job Title Die casting die designer 2 Reporting Functional reporting to : DINESH M MUNOT, GM (TE PDC Design) 3 Background i) Educational Qualification Graduation/Post Graduation Desirable: BE Mech / PG or Mtech in Tool Design from NTTF/CITD/IGTR ii) Experience Minimum: 7 Maximum: 11 iii) Age Limit Minimum: 28 Maximum: 33 4 Job Role & Responsibilities Role: To design and develop PDC dies for HPDC, LPDC & GDC for automotive components while ensuring manufacturability, quality & cost optimization. Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models as per design requirements. Work closely with manufacturing and production teams to ensure tool feasibility and functionality. Support tool trials, modifications, and troubleshooting during development stages. Ensure designs comply with quality standards, GD&T, and manufacturing processes. Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for tool development and validation. Responsibilities: Work closely with R&D for manufacturability feedback in view of quality requirement, cost reduction & commonization etc. To design and develop PDC dies for HPDC, LPDC & GDC. Prepare 3D models & 2D drawings as per design requirements. Work closely with manufacturing and production teams to ensure tool feasibility and functionality. Support tool trials, modifications, and troubleshooting during development stages. Ensure designs comply with quality standards, GD&T, and manufacturing processes. Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for tool development and validation. 5 Competency Requirements Technical/ Functional: Strong experience in PDC dies & components. Proficiency in CAD software UG NX. Understanding of GD&T and automotive manufacturing standards. Behavioral: Good problem-solving and communication skills. Good interpersonal skills to work in CFTs. Specific expertise required for functional area: Knowledge of tool manufacturing processes and casting processes.
