The CAD Designer for Telecom Outside Plant (OSP) New Product Development supports the development of next-generation telecom products by transforming conceptual ideas into detailed engineering designs. The role works closely with laboratory engineers and cross-functional teams to incorporate Telcordia Generic Requirements (GR) and internal standards into quality product designs. Duties & Responsibilities Develop and maintain accurate 2D drawings and 3D CAD models. Update and revise designs based on engineering changes and feedback. Ensure designs meet specifications, standards, and manufacturability requirements. Collaborate with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams. Organize and manage CAD files and related documentation. Required Qualifications for Consideration Training and experience in 3D modeling using Creo. Proficiency with CREO software. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Basic understanding of engineering principles and materials. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Desirable Qualifications Associate’s degree in an engineering-related field. Experience in product development or manufacturing environments. Familiarity with SAP-based PLM systems and revision control processes. Has hands-on experience designing plastic parts. Possesses strong 3D modeling skills in Creo. Has expertise in molded plastic part design. Can convert complex requirements into actionable engineering plans and detailed 3D models.
