Wood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is looking to hire Senior Estimator, Expression of Interest (KZ passport holders) with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry to join our Operations business, based in Atyrau, Kazakhstan.

• Develop estimate plans, defensible basis of estimate, man-hour estimates, and estimate road map schedules. • Provide assistance to the Planning team, as required, in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports. • Able to translate MTO into bills of quantities (BOQ) and interpret working drawings and specifications and identify any gaps. • Can create MTO`s(Material Take offs) by extracting quantities from the drawings for Civil, Concrete, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Piping work and E&I. • Analyse and condition budgetary quotations that support commercial bid evaluation with strong understanding of procurement, contracts, and market cost drivers. • Review and evaluate subcontractor proposals if required to support client decision in awarding contracts to construction subcontractor. • Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for all phases of projects (conceptual, FEED, detailed design, execution) from Class 1–5 estimates align with AACE standard for engineering, procurement and construction covering all disciplines. • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align scope, schedule, and cost. • Knowledgeable in cost risk assessment workshops, quantify uncertainties, and establish contingency allowances based on estimate maturity. • Apply historical data, industry norms, and vendor market intelligence to validate estimates and ensure competitiveness. • Provide input on EPC, EPCM, lump sum, and reimbursable contract frameworks. • Interface with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, contractors, and clients to ensure clarity and alignment on cost assumptions. • Train, guide and mentor junior estimators, promoting knowledge transfer and adherence to best practices.

• Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates • Work experience in the respective position no less than 5 years
