Reporting to the Shift Manager of the assigned area, the Clinical Services Technician (CST) performs duties under the direction of the Registered Nurse/Charge Nurse. Responsible for providing high quality individualized basic care activities within the Clinical Services Technician scope of practice. This individual ensures a safe, healthy environment that encourages socialization and empowerment. This position is subject to overtime, weekend, holiday and shift work, standby, and callback assignments.
Minimum Education: High School graduate preferred. Minimum Experience/Skills: 6+ months related experience providing direct services for patients/clients in a mental health, substance abuse, or social service agency setting is preferred. Knowledge of the needs, problems, attitudes and behavioral patterns of mentally disordered individuals and substance abusers. Knowledge of Mental Health programs and community resources. Behavioral health principles and methods of relating to individuals experiencing behavioral health problems. Verbal de-escalation and communication skills. Knowledge of mental health patient rights. License/Certificates/Credentials: BLS for Healthcare Providers, Behavioral management training defined as Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) is required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained. #LI-ML2
