About this role
The Admissions Representative supports patients throughout the admission and registration process. This position is responsible for collecting accurate patient information, scheduling services, verifying insurance coverage, collecting payments, and helping create a positive patient experience. The Admissions Representative works closely with patients, clinical teams, and internal departments while following all applicable federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Complete patient admissions and registrations accurately and efficiently. • Verify patient demographic, insurance, and financial information. • Schedule appointments and coordinate services with patients and clinical teams. • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage. • Collect and process patient payments. • Explain admission requirements and respond to patient questions. • Communicate with internal departments to resolve issues and coordinate patient services. • Accurately enter and maintain information in Affinity, Passport, Epic, and other supporting systems. • Protect patient confidentiality and comply with applicable policies and regulations. • Perform other duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent required. • Minimum of one year of clerical experience required. • Knowledge of medical terminology required. • Basic filing, telephone, and administrative skills required. • Strong computer and keyboarding skills with the ability to enter information accurately. • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required. • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. • For Imaging Department positions, clerical experience and familiarity with medical terminology, computer systems, and telephone support are preferred. • No licenses or certifications are required.
