This role will drive operational excellence through designing robust controls, standardizing processes, resolving accounting issues, enabling automation and continuous improvement initiatives. Success requires strong technical accounting skills, an execution mindset, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams (AP, AR, FP&A, and local finance controllers) without direct managerial authority. • Close & General Ledger (GL) Ownership: • Lead and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality completion of all close activities and financial reporting. • Govern the integrity of the General Ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies, and internal controls. • Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of reconciling items and adherence to internal controls. • Drive comprehensive flux and variance analysis for both P&L and Balance Sheet, ensuring meaningful insights and clear narratives to support management reporting. • Partner closely with FP&A to align on financial analysis, support variance explanations, and enhance the quality and consistency of management reporting.

• Inventory, Cost Accounting & Goods‑in‑Transit: • Take full ownership of end-to-end inventory accounting for assigned entities, including valuation, obsolescence provisioning, and cut-off compliance in line with accounting standards. • Ensure robust review of monthly inventory reconciliations between the General Ledger and sub-ledgers/systems (e.g., Oracle, JD Edwards), as well as warehouse or 3PL stock reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy. • Oversee Goods-in-Transit (GIT) management, ensuring proper recognition, aging visibility, and timely resolution of discrepancies. • Drive continuous improvements in inventory processes, controls, and reporting transparency.

• Intercompany, Fixed Assets Accounting • Manage all intercompany activities, including transaction processing, confirmations, settlements, and reporting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of differences. • Oversee the full fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and assessment of impairment indicators, in compliance with accounting policies and standards. • Review and support accounting entries related to intercompany and fixed assets, ensuring proper documentation, policy adherence, and alignment with reporting requirements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline intercompany processes, improve reconciliation efficiency, and strengthen controls over fixed assets management.

• Reporting: • Monitor, analyze, and report key close metrics, including timeliness of close, quality of close, and accounting exceptions (e.g., surprises or material misstatements). • Prepare and review monthly reporting packages, including financial statements, management reports, and working capital metrics, ensuring accuracy and completeness. • Lead comprehensive balance sheet reviews, ensuring integrity, transparency, and timely resolution of reconciling items. • Deliver insightful and actionable performance updates to finance management, highlighting key achievements, emerging risks, and clear mitigation plans.

• Governance, Controls and Compliance: • Ensure alignment with US GAAP, SOX requirements, global finance policies, and applicable local statutory regulations. • Maintain a strong internal control environment by performing, documenting, and continuously improving key SOX controls. • Oversee General Ledger (GL) processes to ensure compliance with internal control frameworks and governance standards. • Support internal and external audit activities by providing timely, accurate documentation and responses related to General Accounting. • Lead the timely and accurate preparation and submission of statutory and tax filings in collaboration with external auditors and tax advisors. • Develop, update, and maintain R2R (Record-to-Report) accounting SOPs, work instructions, and RACIs to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance.

• Process Improvement and Automation: • Proactively identify, lead, and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, eliminate manual work, and drive scalable automation across R2R processes. • Champion the adoption of digital solutions and automation tools, including RPA and system enhancements, to streamline workflows and improve accuracy. • Drive standardization and harmonization of GL processes across regions, ensuring consistent application of global templates, policies, and best practices. • Partner with cross-functional teams to continuously assess process gaps, optimize end-to-end workflows, and embed a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

• Business Partnership and Stakeholder Engagement: • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and primary point of contact for assigned entities, providing strategic accounting guidance and support. • Build strong partnerships with AP & AR teams, FP&A, Local Market Controllers, and internal and external auditors to ensure alignment, issue resolution, and smooth operational delivery. • Proactively influence and advise stakeholders on accounting treatment, process improvements, and adoption of best practices to enhance overall financial governance and efficiency.

• Other jobs assigned by APAC Accounting Director. • Requires OT during holiday for monthly closing.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an advantage. • Strong knowledge of General Ledger (GL) processes, financial controls, and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP B1, Hyperion). • Proven ability to resolve complex accounting issues and disputes, with a strong focus on root cause analysis. • Proficiency in reporting and analytical tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel) to support month-end close tracking and financial analysis. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders. • Experience working in a Global Business Services/Shared Services (GBSC) environment is preferred. • Strong risk awareness with the ability to identify current and potential risks, prevent process deficiencies, and drive effective solutions. • Demonstrated problem-solving and project management capabilities. • Good English proficiency is required, and additional Asian language capabilities (e.g., Japanese, Chinese) to support other APAC markets would be an advantage.” • Strong collaboration mindset with a respectful, team-oriented, and approachable working style. • High level of integrity and professionalism, with a strong ethical foundation as a finance professional. Work Environment:

• Normal office setting with desk/chair and PC. • Must be able to travel on an ad-hoc basis. Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in General Accounting, with at least 3 years in a GBSC environment. • Hands-on experience in US/local GAAP accounting and SOX audit management. • ERP enhancements/implementation experience as a plus (Oracle preferred). Education:

• Bachelor degree in accounting or finance
