About this role
• Lead electrical project execution activities from engineering review to commissioning. • Develop project schedules, resource deployment plans, and erection milestones in coordination with project teams. • Monitor project progress and ensure achievement of project timelines, quality, safety, and budget targets. • Coordinate with engineering consultants, OEMs, contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams for smooth project execution. • Establish project monitoring mechanisms and prepare periodic progress reports for management review. Electrical System Installation
• Oversee erection, testing, commissioning, and synchronization of: • Generators and Generator Transformers (GT) • Unit Auxiliary Transformers (UAT) • Station Transformers • EHV Switchyard (220 kV/400 kV/765 kV) • GIS/AIS Substations • HT/LT Switchgear • Bus Ducts and Busbars • Electrical Protection Systems • Motors, MCCs, PCCs, VFDs • Plant Illumination and Earthing Systems • DG Sets and UPS Systems
Engineering & Design Coordination
• Review electrical engineering drawings, SLDs, cable schedules, load lists, and technical specifications. • Ensure design compliance with project requirements, statutory regulations, and industry standards. • Coordinate design clarification and site engineering support with consultants and engineering teams. Testing & Commissioning
• Lead pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for major electrical equipment. • Review test procedures, commissioning protocols, and performance guarantee tests. • Ensure all equipment meets operational readiness requirements before handover. Contractor & Vendor Management
• Evaluate contractor performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations. • Conduct site reviews, progress monitoring meetings, and vendor performance assessments. • Resolve technical and contractual issues impacting project schedules. Cost & Budget Control
• Monitor project budgets, electrical package costs, and contract expenditures. • Identify optimization opportunities to enhance project cost effectiveness. • Validate contractor bills, measurements, and project variations. Safety, Quality & Compliance
• Ensure implementation of safety standards, permit systems, and project EHS requirements. • Drive compliance with CEA regulations, IS standards, IEEE/IEC standards, and statutory requirements. • Conduct project quality audits, inspections, and corrective action reviews. Stakeholder Management
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, OEM representatives, regulatory agencies, consultants, and contractors. • Support management reviews through project progress presentations and risk assessments.
Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. Exp - 12-17 Years of exp.
