Position Summary1 Resource Group is seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly motivated Warehouse Technician / Tool Repair Technician for our Evansville, IN location. This position supports warehouse operations and equipment maintenance activities and is responsible for inventory management, receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving functions, as well as inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of industrial, pneumatic, electric, hydraulic, and contractor tools and equipment.
The ideal candidate possesses mechanical aptitude, warehouse experience, excellent organizational skills, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. This role requires flexibility, the ability to work independently, and a willingness to support multiple operational functions in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesWarehouse OperationsReceiving and StockingReceive, inspect, count, and verify incoming products against packing lists and shipping documents.Accurately receive inventory using warehouse management systems.Identify and report shortages, discrepancies, damaged materials, or receiving concerns.Load, unload, move, and store materials using forklifts, stock pickers, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.Properly stock inventory in designated bin locations and maintain inventory accuracy.Rotate inventory and replenish stock levels as necessary.Organize and stage materials for warehousing, delivery, shipment, or customer pickup.Order Fulfillment and DistributionPull customer and branch orders accurately using picking documents.Verify inventory locations, quantities, and part numbers before shipment.Stage completed orders for freight, ground transportation, or customer pickup.Maintain productivity and accuracy standards while meeting established performance goals.Assist with shipping, packaging, labeling, and preparing outbound orders.General Warehouse ResponsibilitiesComplete required documentation related to receiving, storage, inventory movement, and shipping activities.Perform routine warehouse housekeeping to maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety.Maintain security and control of inventory and warehouse assets.Participate in inventory counts, audits, and reconciliation activities.Cross-train and provide backup support for other warehouse functions as required.Tool Repair and Equipment MaintenancePerform inspections, adjustments, testing, maintenance, and repairs on industrial equipment.Repair and maintain:Pneumatic toolsElectric power toolsManual chain hoists and pullersPneumatic tuggers and winchesComplete work orders, repair records, parts requests, and maintenance reports accurately.Replace worn, damaged, or defective components.Conduct operational and safety testing following repairs.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe repair workspace.Customer Service and Team SupportProvide responsive and professional customer service.Communicate inventory, equipment, maintenance, or operational issues to supervisors.Assist with special projects and branch operational needs as assigned.Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.Maintain compliance with all 1 Resource Group policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.Meet expectations for attendance, punctuality, productivity, and quality performance.Perform other duties as assigned.Education RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required.
Requirements
Minimum QualificationsMinimum of one (1) year of warehouse experience required.Experience repairing industrial, construction, pneumatic, electric, or hydraulic tools preferred.Ability to safely operate forklifts, stock pickers, and electric pallet jacks.Strong mechanical aptitude and repair skills.Basic computer proficiency.Strong mathematical and inventory-related skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities.Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and operational demands.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material-handling practices.Understanding of the proper use of various hand and power tools.Ability to read technical manuals, equipment diagrams, and parts lists.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and repair tools.Strong customer service and communication skills.Ability to maintain quality, productivity, and safety standards.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Certifications, Licenses, and RegistrationsRequiredValid driver's license.PreferredPrevious forklift certification.Ability to obtain and maintain required equipment operation certifications.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNone.
